Nurses

The Practice Nurses are involved in health promotion and chronic disease management. They run clinics for patients with asthma, COPD, diabetes, hypertension and ischaemic heart disease. They also provide cervical screening and advice on travel immunisations.

Reception

The reception staff assist in the efficient day-to-day running of the practice and support the services we provide. When you telephone the surgery the receptionist will ask you for a few details. Our receptionists have been trained to make these enquires so that we can help you in the most appropriate way. Strict confidentiality is maintained by all staff on all matters relating to the health and personal circumstances of our patients. The reception staff are here to help you, but their job is very demanding and they are often very busy, so please be patient.

Community Midwives

The community midwives are involved with all aspects of antenatal and postnatal care and can be contacted on Tel: 028 3752 22381 ext 2351.

Community Nurses

Our district nursing staff will visit patients who are in need of nursing care and who are unable to travel to the surgery. Tel: 028 3752 1568 at 12pm or 4.00pm – messages can be left on their answer phones at other times.

Health Visitors

The Health Visitors are specially trained to give health advice on matters relating to family and child health. They assess children’s development and also undertake health promotion within the practice. Tel: 028 3752 1575.

Attached Staff

Our practice liaison social worker will advise on the availability of services and benefits. They can be contacted between 9 -10am and 2 - 3pm at Social Services, Gosford Place, The Mall. Tel: 028 3752 2262.
